- You teach the lesson?
- No — station leaders do
Quick start
- 1
Find your crew and learn their names
Grab your crew's name tags at check-in and greet each kid by name as they arrive. Names are your superpower — kids light up when you remember theirs.
- 2
Start in your home room
Open each day with the day's Bible point and a quick name game or icebreaker. Five minutes of silliness and you've got their trust for the morning.
- 3
Count your crew, then move
Count heads before you leave every station and again when you arrive. Same number in, same number out — that's the whole secret to never losing a kid.
- 4
Sit on the floor with them
At each station you're not running the activity — you're in it, beside your kids, helping them join in and asking questions.
- 5
Hand off cleanly at pickup
Walk your crew back to the pickup area and stay with them until each one is released to the right grown-up by the check-in team.
Watch first
Here's the relief: being a crew leader is not teaching. You are not expected to know the Bible story cold or run a single craft. The station leaders do all of that. Your one job is to be the warm, reliable grown-up who keeps your little crew of 5-7 kids together and helps them feel brave enough to join in.
- 1
Greet and gather
Collect your crew at check-in, learn names fast, get everyone tagged with their crew color.
- 2
Home room kickoff
Open with the day's Bible point and a quick icebreaker game.
- 3
Rotate the stations
Walk your crew to Crafts, Snacks, Games, and the Bible story — count heads at every transition.
- 4
Be in it with them
Sit down, ask questions, help the shy kid, and let the station leader run the activity.
- 5
Pickup handoff
Walk back to pickup and stay until every child is released to their matched grown-up.
