How the Academy works

Your player can join MBA's Minnetonka Baseball Academy training program at age 9 and 3rd grade. These winter sessions and clinics are offered for both community and travel athletes, and are designed to prepare younger players for the upcoming season and for tryouts, should they take part in them.

Our player development advances at age 12 with training through Brower Baseball. Jim Brower, with guidance from MBA leadership and Coach Twenge, has designed winter workouts to get older athletes conditioned for the season, with an emphasis on age-appropriate progress and arm safety.

After tryouts, we encourage players to take a 45 to 60 day rest period for arm safety.
