Getting started

What is lacrosse?

Lacrosse is an exciting, fast-paced sport that involves a variety of different skills and combines many of the elements of different sports like basketball, soccer and hockey. It is also a sport that anyone can play, the big and the small. It is a game that rewards coordination and agility, not brawn.

What equipment is needed to play?

Stick, Helmet, Mouth Guard, Shoulder Pads, Elbow Pads, Gloves, Protective Cup, Cleats. When buying new shoulder & chest pads make sure they contain the NOCSAE logo and SEI certification mark on both the packaging and the product to be legal for play.

How do I know which program to sign up for?

We can help you. Each program has designated feeder schools. High School players must be enrolled in the high school they are playing for, or a designated feeder school. Youth players shall be in 8th grade or younger, satisfy the appropriate grade requirement, and reside in the designated boundaries for the team or be enrolled in a private school with a team.

What happens if my player's game is cancelled?

In the event that a game is cancelled or delayed (due to weather, etc.), the clubs involved will work together to find an alternative date and location to make up that game. This change will be communicated through your individual program, and changes will be reflected on the league calendar once make up dates are finalized.

Does the league charge high school players?

The LAKC League does not charge high school players fees to participate. Fees to play are managed by individual clubs, and vary depending on program.
