Frequently asked questions
Can we pay on a plan?
Travel levels, including Junior Gold and 19U: $900 down, then installments. Junior Gold: $1,025 down for skaters, $925 for goalies, then December 14 and January 14. 19U: $900 down, then December 14. Plans are not available for Mites, 8U, 6U or Termites. The volunteer buyout and the tryout fee are due in full at registration.
Is there a late fee?
Late registration is accepted on a standby basis: $300 for travel levels and $200 for mite levels. The travel deadline was July 31 and the mite deadline October 1.
What if we cancel?
Before tryouts start: travel levels $150, with the season fee and tryout fee refunded; mite levels $50, with the season fee refunded. No refunds once tryouts have begun, except a season-ending injury, which goes to the board.
Is there financial aid?
Yes, from $0 to $500 per player, not more than half of the MYHA registration fees except in extreme hardship. Apply to vp@tonkahockey.org at or before registration. Families receiving aid work their volunteer hours rather than buying out.
What does USA Hockey cost?
Paid to USA Hockey before MYHA registration: $17 for 2020 and younger, $58 for 2019 to 2018, $71 for 2017 to 2014, $81 for 2013 to 2008, $54 for 2007 and older, plus the $10 Minnesota Hockey affiliate fee.
