Team updates: welcome to the 2026-27 season
Officials training and testing: October 31 and November 1 at Buck Hill
Central Region 1 is excited to announce the fall alpine officials clinic and testing weekend, Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1 at Buck Hill. The update for officials already certified is posted separately. It takes a village to run a successful ski race. Becoming an official gives you an inside look at the sport and gives our athletes the best possible racing experience.
Study group details will be shared in the coming weeks to help you prepare for exams and your role on the hill. Testing is optional. If you just want to learn about officiating and meet other parents, coaches and officials, we would love to have you. A second clinic and testing weekend comes in the spring.
Ski you soon. Savannah Nelson, CR1 Chair, and Nick Clingman, CR1 Volunteer Coordinator.
Sign up for the clinicMembership
All athletes, officials and coaches must have a valid U.S. Ski & Snowboard membership. Log in to your account on usskiandsnowboard.org to register or renew for the season. CR1 membership continues through the national registration, noted in your cart before checkout.
Race registration
Registration is the same as last year: SkiReg for all our races. Specific race-day information is posted each race week.
Currently certified alpine officials
The Central alpine officials update is November 3 or December 8. You must sign up and fill in the form; your U.S. Ski & Snowboard number is how U.S. Ski & Snowboard tracks your update, so without it you will not get credit. Those testing this year are welcome to join as well.
